From Glenergy's hubs in Tanzania, Uganda and Kenya, we recruit, train, launch, and support village-level solar entrepreneurs. Our entrepreneurs sell solar-powered LED lanterns & panels on micro-credit within their communities: families pay at the same rate that they had been paying for kerosene.

In less than a year, the villager has paid for your solar lantern & panel, the solar entrepreneur has earned a commission on the sale, and your $40 has been reinvested in new inventory. Your gift is thereby leveraged many times over, magnifying impact.
